In communication, there is an indirect proportionality: The easier it is for the speaker, the harder it is for the audience. Obviously, the goal is the opposite.

WHAT WE TEACH

We offer three basic types of training:

1

HOW TO SUCCEED
IN THE MEDIA

The world is controlled by media logic. Common sense isn’t always enough. There is a rule that states: “Rather than fighting the media, learn how to present yourself in it.”

The world is controlled by media logic. Common sense isn’t always enough. There is a rule that states: “Rather than fighting the media, learn how to present yourself in it.” Those who can do that well can benefit from it and in turn help their own brand, company, subordinates, or even superiors.

Czech media landscape
  • Who owns Czech media?
  • How do politics project into it?
  • Who determines the content?
  • What is the relationship between advertising and the editorial office?
How to communicate with a press reporter?
  • Is a journalist allowed to record an interview?
  • How exactly does “off record” work?
  • Do I have the power to authorize an interview?
Camera training
  • An in-depth drill of different interview formats, such as a stand-up interview, a studio interview, or other types in a realistic setting - with lights, a microphone and a camera.
Video breakdowns
  • Breakdown of content and delivery,
  • language analysis and recommendations,
  • tips for a better non-verbal presentation.
2

HOW TO HANDLE
A CRISIS

Crisis communication with the media is similar to normal communication, the only two differences are that in a crisis, the topic is usually unpleasant, and everything happens at a faster pace.

Crisis communication with the media is similar to normal communication, the only two differences are that in a crisis, the topic is usually unpleasant, and everything happens at a faster pace.

If we accept these two facts, we can sometimes even make a small gain out of a crisis situation. Media-wise, being able to outlast a crisis requires:

  • Willingness to give an interview on an unpleasant/destructive topic as quickly as possible,
  • an ability to resist the pressure coming from multiple biased journalists at once,
  • assertiveness to make yourself heard in a larger group of people with varying interests
  • discussion skills to deal with an opponent or a host that holds a partial opinion on you.

THE ART OF
PRESENTATION

Do you have to present in front of an Administrative Board, or a professional association? Or is it a sort of a more regular, simpler task?

Do you have to present in front of an Administrative Board, or a professional association? Or is it a sort of a more regular, simpler task?

When it comes to presentation, there are rules that can be mastered. Our courses on rhetorical skills offer:

  • analysis of strong and weak aspects of the client’s current presentation skills,
  • adoption of the basic attributes of professional presentation,
  • the possibility for the client to practice their presentation on any chosen topic.

The training will meet your exact requirements regarding the chosen topic. We will be your partners and guide you. Another point of focus for us is the formal side of presentation. How to be articulate and captivate your audience? How to keep the audience’s attention on you? What tone of delivery should you choose?

Being able to answer these questions is key to preparing for any topic on any occasion.

A JOURNALIST
FROM YOUR FIELD

For some of our training programs, a real reporter is called in to accompany our two lecturers during the lesson, especially when it comes to crisis communication training. That way, the simulated scenario is as close to reality as possible. We always choose a journalist who specializes in your field of expertise.

HOW IT WORKS?

  1. Write us an email, or call us. We will talk about what you need, the topics of discussion that you would like to go through, and how many employers or employees from your company will take part.

  3. We are ready to consult on your offer and refine it to perfection. We will only shake hands once both sides are 200% satisfied.
  4. Do we have a deal? Great! Now all that’s left is to set the date. You can choose your own location - we will get to you anywhere within Czechia or Slovakia, but we also offer our own facilities.
